Professional Interests: Dr.
Baron is the principal investigator for several multi-site
clinical trials. He has published widely on the epidemiology
of chronic diseases such as cancer and osteoporosis
and has conducted clinical studies regarding hormonal
effects of cigarette smoking and other life style habits.
His current research includes studies of the etiology
and prevention of colorectal cancer, and of the
effects of calcium, vitamin D, folate, and aspirin
on carcinogenesis.
