Professional Interests: Dr.
Moore is the Frank Lane Research Scholar in Computational
Genetics and Director of Bioinformatics. His professional
and research interests include human genetics, bioinformatics
and complex biological systems. The goal of his research
program is to improve the prediction, prevention, and
treatment of common human diseases such as cancers,
cardiovascular diseases, and psychiatric diseases through
the development, evaluation, and application of statistical
and computational methods for genetic, genomic, and
proteomic analysis. A central focus is on analytical
methods and software that embrace, rather than ignore,
the hierarchical nature and complexity of disease initiation
and progression.
