Professional Interests: Dr.
Tosteson's research interests include projects in musculoskeletal
disease, cancer, and environmental epidemiology. He is
Biostatistics Director and Co-PI for the Dartmouth Multidisciplinary
Clinical Research Center in Musculoskeletal Disease and
Principal Statistician for the Spine Patient Outcomes
Research Trial. He is Co-Director of the Clinical Core
of the Alternative Breast Imaging Program, an NCI funded
program project developing four new modalities for breast
cancer imaging. Dr. Tosteson conducts statistical research
in the areas of noncompliance in surgical clinical trials,
covariate measurement error for nonlinear regression
models and statistical methods for image based research.
