Professional Interests: Dr.
Troisi is an epidemiologist in the Division of Cancer
Epidemiology and Genetics at the National Cancer Institute,
on faculty in the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Section
at Dartmouth Medical School and an associate member of
the Norris Cotton Cancer Center. She has had a long-standing
interest in the hormonal etiology of cancer. Recently
Dr. Troisi has focused her research on pregnancy and
early life exposures and their association with cancer
risk in the mother and off-spring. She is currently a
principal investigator of the National Cancer Institute’s
large cohort study of diethylstilbestrol (DES) exposure
in pregnancy and risk of cancer and other diseases, and
principal investigator of several smaller studies assessing
the association of hormones and other biomarkers in pregnancy
conditions, such as preeclampsia.
