The Section of Biostatistics and Epidemiology seeks highly qualified faculty to support our commitment to advancing biomedical research and the education of Dartmouth medical, graduate and postgraduate students. Our group fosters an interdisciplinary and translational approach to research and participates in studies covering diverse topics including, chemoprevention, cancer etiology, environmental epidemiology, molecular-genetic epidemiology, bioinformatics, women’s and children’s health, diseases of aging, medical imaging and statistical methods.

We are currently recruiting for the following faculty appointments:

 

Senior Biostatistician

Geisel Medical School is seeking a senior Biostatistician, at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, to conduct innovative methodological and collaborative research, mentor faculty, and teach biostatistics within the Norris-Cotton Cancer Center and other academic units throughout the Geisel School. Under the newly named Geisel School, there is strengthened focus, and expanding faculty, in Biostatistics at Dartmouth under the leadership of Dr. Chris Amos.  Additionally, an innovative new Quantitative Biomedical Sciences graduate program commenced in the fall 2011 as the first of its kind in the country. There are currently nine full-time, and several part-time, statistical faculty members at the Geisel School, along with twenty-two master’s levels statistical analysts who are engaged actively in extramurally-funded statistical and biomedical research.  Current interests of faculty in statistical methods include: clinical trials, measurement error methods, biomedical imaging, genomics and molecular epidemiology, survival analysis, multivariate models, spatial statistics in epidemiology, semi-parametric methods, longitudinal methods, diagnostic testing, optimal epidemiologic design, and prevention and therapeutic trials. Assistant Professor of Biostatistics

Geisel Medical School is seeking a Biostatistician, at the rank of Assistant Professor, to conduct innovative methodological and collaborative research in the area of high dimensional analysis of 'omic' data and to teach biostatistics within the Geisel School of Medicine and Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Under the newly named Geisel School, there is strengthened focus, and expanding faculty, in Biostatistics at Dartmouth under the leadership of Dr. Chris Amos.
